the incredibly vast collections at the Victoria and Albert Museum or the
National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery. If shopping is on your
itinerary there are markets, the hot new area around Notting Hill Road,
and Kings Road to visit. WINDSOR CASTLE The town of Windsor is easily accessible from London and is a nice day trip. The Castle of course is the greatest attraction and enjoys a panoramic position above the Thames and is visible from the surrounding region. The town ia a narrow street filled with shops and old buildings but the castle is quite a site. The highlights will be the Henry VIII gateway, the St.George's Chapel, the Throne Room and the Waterloo Chamber and Collection of Master drawing including works by Da Vinci and Holbein. The State apartments were totaly burned down and are now completly renovated and open once again. GUIDED WALKS!! morning is dedicated to Hampton Court Palace and gardens - a 25 minute
train ride from downtown London. Built by Cardinal Wolsey and confiscated
by an envious King Henry the VIII, it is a staggering monument reflecting
the royal pomp and wealth of the British Crown. Six years of restoration
after a devasting fire have brought the Kings Apartments back to their
